"The Land of your Dreams? Probably"
The Two most prominent amusement parks in the Philippines
Star City is a fictional city that appears in stories published by DC Comics, best known as the
traditional home of the superheroes known by, or affiliated with, the shared alias of Green Arrow. This
is possibly where the name of Metro Manila’s own Star City is patterned, as it sure is a place for
daredevil plunges and heroics. Just recently, it opened a new annex, where guests can find the Star
Frisbee, Music Express, Classic Carousel, Frosty Train, and Kiddie Wheel.
“Thinking of a weekend get-away that is affordable, close enough to home, and with something
for everyone? You don’t have to look far because there’s a theme park right at the heart of the
metropolis where a world of excitement, entertainment, and education awaits. Star City, housed
within the CCP Complex in Pasay, is truly big on family fun.
The acknowledged pioneer in mixing amusement with retail, Star City focuses on providing
families with maximum enjoyment through a stimulating array of indoor and outdoor attractions to
captivate both the young and the young at heart. Rides that spin, twirl, and zoom… live shows that
provide the thrills and spills… a collection of haunts and destinations to fulfill your greatest
fantasies… and a scoop of fun foods and goodies all blend together to give you a fantastic day out
– without spending a fortune. Indeed, there is simply no way that kids, and even the young at heart,
will not enjoy Star City.”
If you want to go Disney for a day, then you’d better grab a ticket to the most magical theme
park in town. Enchanted Kingdom prides itself on its immense structures and equally immense
entertainment mediums, claiming them as having been spellbound and suffused with enchantment. A
step or two away from the city, this is the place for children and children-at-heart alike.
“Enchanted Kingdom opened to the public on October 19, 1995. It was and still is the first and
only world-class theme park in the Philippines. The theme park boasts of rides and attractions unique
to the country and in size and magnitude. These rides and attractions are located within seven
meticulously theme zones interspersed with food and merchandise outlets and kiosks as well as
various game stands that add to the ‘enchanting experience’, away from the day-to-day realities of
Enchanted Kingdom is also a choice venue for (1) personal milestones, such as birthdays,
weddings, and debuts; (2) corporate events, namely, conferences, company anniversaries, awarding
ceremonies, product launches, and EK Magicalympics team building; and (3) school events, such as
commencement exercises, Junior-Senior prom, and sports events.
Enchanted Kingdom boasts of “themed entertainment” in each zone. It also has a variety of
musical shows throughout the season using in-house and TV network partner talents.”
